"On September 20, 2021, we were in a boarding house. One evening, Matvii's stomach was bloated, I was very alarmed. The next day we went to the pediatrician, she told us to drink kefir and activated charcoal at night, we did so, the stomach stopped hurting a little, but it still didn't calm me down. In a week, with anxiety in my soul, I made an appointment with Matvii for an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and kidneys. When they started looking at our kidney, the doctor asked if we had done an ultrasound of the kidneys before? I answered that I was 1.3 years old. She looked at his kidneys for a long time, it started to scare me a lot, and she kept silent! When she finished the examination, she said that the child has a neoplasm in the projection of the kidney," says the boy's mother.
Next, the child underwent examinations, including a CT scan. Doctors even assumed that the disease had progressed up to stage 4. Metastases were admitted. "It was like a shot in the heart for us. We were recommended to go to Kyiv to the Cancer Institute, which we did! On October 1, 2021, we were already there, and on the 4th there was a consultation, which concluded that we have the second stage without foci on the pancreas and metastases, we breathed a little, because this is far from the 4th stage," Matviyka's mother recalls.
The parents were worried that the Ukrainian doctors assumed such a neglected stage, also, the doctors advised to go abroad, so we decided to take the child for treatment. The clinic in Turkey "Memorial" responded and billed 130,000 dollars. So the parents collected a small amount of their savings and took their son there. Matvij has already had one kidney removed, leaving a part. Now he is undergoing chemotherapy, but funds are needed for further treatment... The bill for treatment is 130 thousand dollars.
While Matvii is undergoing difficult and long-term treatment, the parents are trying wherever possible to find the necessary funds. Therefore, we are asking each of you for help!!! For additional information, you can also contact the employees of the "Aptechka" Foundation.
